Bike Rack — 18 ft, 12 Slot
An 18 ft ladder bike rack: 12 wheel slots on 18 in centres between 1-5/8 in round tube rails, braced by three HSS 2 x 2 knee braces. About 30 in tall. Welded and painted, or a cut kit you weld yourself.
A one-sided ladder rack for a schoolyard, a shop or a lot. Three 1-5/8 in x 0.100 wall round tube rails run the full 18 ft: a top rail 26 in over the bottom rail, and a ground rail 14-1/2 in out front. Twenty-four 1 in uprights stand between the top and bottom rails in pairs, one pair every 18 in, for twelve wheel slots. Three HSS 2 x 2 x 1/4 knee braces, one at each end and one in the middle, hold it up with nothing set in the ground; it stands against a wall or a fence. About 225 lb of steel. The welded rack is built in our shop by CWB-qualified welders and goes out primed and painted; hot-dip galvanizing and anchor holes on request. The kit is every piece cut to length, the uprights notched to the rails and the brace pieces mitred, bare steel for you to weld and finish.
