What you are looking at

Every photograph on this page is work that left 42 Wilstead Dr in Newmarket, Ontario. Structural weldments, machined assemblies, galvanised frames, hoppers and site steel — jobs that were drawn, cut, welded and shipped, not renderings and not stock photographs of somebody else's shop.

The usual run of work is lintels, stairs, railings, frames, dunnage, embeds and anchors, plus shop-welded assemblies and non-pressure attachments bolted to customer equipment. Some of it is one piece. Some of it is a structural package with a drawing set. Both go through the same building.

How the work gets made

Cutting, forming and welding are all at the one address. The CNC fiber laser takes sheet and thinner plate on a 5 x 10 bed with a narrow kerf and a square edge; the CNC plasma takes the heavier plate the laser will not; the automatic bandsaw cuts structural sections and bar to length. Bending and rolling are here too.

Mild steel, stainless and aluminum, welded MIG, TIG and stick at the bench and in the field. A job needing some of each does not move between shops halfway through, which is the single biggest reason a date holds.

Detailing and modelling happen here as well — parts are modelled in SolidWorks and drawn for the shop floor with weld maps and piece marks. What is not done here is sealed engineering: where a code requires a professional engineer to seal a design, that is yours to supply or a separate scope, and we say so when we see it.

Where it went

York Region, the Greater Toronto Area and Simcoe County. Finished work goes out on our own truck or is installed by our own crews — the people who welded it are the people on site, so a field change comes back to somebody who can answer it rather than to a phone tree.

Field welding and field repair are regular work too, on equipment and structures that cannot come off site.

Starting one like it

A sketch on paper, a photograph with dimensions, a part to copy or a full stamped drawing set all start a job. For a flat part, drop the DXF on the quoter and a price comes back in seconds; for a material list, drop a spreadsheet, a CSV, a PDF or a photograph of a handwritten list and it is priced against the rack line by line.
