Can you copy a part I already have?
Bring it in. A part on the bench is measured, modelled and drawn, and the drawing is what the shop builds to from then on — which matters more than the first copy when you need the fifth one two years later.
A photograph with dimensions works when the part cannot leave service.
Is there a minimum for a custom one-off in Aurora?
No minimum on the work. One bracket, one handrail, one plate cut to a shape — small work runs through the shop the same way a structural package does.
The only threshold is delivery: a $100 minimum on the goods, before tax and before the delivery charge. Below that it is pickup at the Newmarket shop, the next town north of Aurora, or a courier.
How long does a custom piece take?
Material first, then the bench. What is on the rack goes straight to the saw. Anything not on the floor is a 2 day lead time, because the service centres we buy from deliver next day into Newmarket.
The build itself depends on what it is — a bracket is an afternoon, a welded assembly with a drawing to produce first is not. You get a date rather than a range, and if the date moves you hear it from us before it arrives.
How do I get a price on something custom?
For a flat part, drop the DXF on the quoter and a price comes back in seconds. For a material list, drop the spreadsheet, a CSV, a PDF or a photograph of a handwritten list and it is priced against the rack line by line.
