Can I buy a single piece of steel, or is there a minimum order?

One piece is a real order. The catalogue sells off the rack by the size, cut to length on the bandsaw, for pickup in Newmarket or delivery across Ontario.

The one threshold worth knowing is delivery: truck delivery carries a $100 minimum on the goods, before tax and before the delivery charge itself. Below that it is pickup at the shop or a courier.

How fast does an online steel order ship in Ontario?

What is on the floor goes out the same day. Anything not on the floor is a 2 day lead time, because the service centres we buy from deliver next day into Newmarket.

Availability is printed against every size on the materials list, so which of the two you are looking at is visible before you order rather than after.

Do I need an account to see a steel price?

No. Prices are on the catalogue and the DXF quoter needs no sign-in — drop a file and a price comes back in seconds. Buying needs an account, because an order needs somewhere to ship and somebody to invoice.

Every automated price is an estimate rather than a binding quote. An order is reviewed here before it is accepted.

What happens if the wrong size arrives?

Check the order when it lands and tell us within 48 hours of pickup or delivery. Where the fault is ours we repair, replace or refund.

Otherwise the sale is final, and steel that has been cut, drilled, formed, welded or coated cannot go back in any case — it is no longer a stock size.
