Are the welding procedures certified?
Yes, by the Canadian Welding Bureau. The certification in force is CSA W47.1 Div 2 (valid to June 2027) and CSA W47.2 Div 2 (valid to April 2027), and it is the company that is certified rather than an individual welder — the shop holds the procedures, the qualified welders and the audits behind them.
Those dates are read from the register the shop maintains, so this page goes quiet on its own if a letter lapses rather than carrying a claim past its expiry.

Which welding processes run in the shop?
MIG, TIG and stick, on mild steel, stainless and aluminum, at the bench and in the field.
Which one a job gets is decided by the material, the thickness and where the work has to happen — not by what is already set up.
Can you weld on site, on something that cannot be moved?
Yes. Field welding and field repair are regular work, on equipment and structures that cannot come off site, and non-pressure attachments bolted to customer equipment are a standing part of it.
Shop work and field work are the same crews out of 42 Wilstead Dr in Newmarket, so nothing is handed between companies halfway through.
What do you need from me to price welding work?
The part or photographs of it, rough dimensions, and the material if you know it. What the piece does and what failed matters as much as the crack itself — a bracket that broke because it was undersized is a different job from one that broke because it was hit.

Can a cracked part be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, and it is worth asking before ordering a replacement. Bring the part to Newmarket or we come to it; what governs the answer is the material, what caused the crack, and whether the repair will hold where the original did not.
Where a repair is the wrong call we say so rather than weld it twice.
